HUNG PHAM, Lead Pastor

Pastor Hung is married to the love of his life. They have 2 adorable children. Their family live in North San Jose with 2 cockatiels, 1 guinea pig, 1 bunny, 4 chickens and a gazillion of worms in their compost pile.

When did you first experience the love of God?

It was at a Young Adult Camp in Southern Cal in 1985. The speaker, Nancy Duff from Inter Varsity, led a Bible study on Luke 15. The lesson was simple but it touched me deeply. I felt loved, forgiven, lifted like never before. My life hasn’t been the same since.

What gift do you bring to the Grace Alliance family?

God has given me a heart for young people – they have a deep hunger for God, and they need the right environment to meet Him. I also feel passionate about guiding God’s people through the healing process of the Gospel and building them up to become true, liberated disciples of Jesus Christ.

If you weren’t serving at Grace Alliance, what would you do?

I’d immediately pack up and move to the Pacific Northwest, somewhere near the water, whether the ocean, river or lake, doesn’t matter. It’s my childhood dream to live next to a river. I’d probably pastor a small country church, or run a spiritual retreat center for whoever interested, or just fishing all day
